Having recently been focused creatively on pieces which relate to connectedness, inter-relations, and harmony; works span a broad range of mediums, from these exercises the design for Unity and Variety was born.

Aiming for a design that has qualities which are alive and present, yet stoic and timeless, the geometric shapes representing unity, and the organic shapes representing variety, and together as one the form is intended to convey balance and ascendance. Our friends like to call it the UVG.

Radio Sunshine UVG embroidered, six panel, unstructured caps are available for pre-order in a variety of colors (canary yellow, mandarin, acid, coco, khaki and white). These are made to order and one size fits all (if you want something special LMK). Delivery will take a little extra time and we appreciate your patience.

Radio Sunshine

I’m pleased to present something long overdue and now more than ever, during quarantine felt like the right time to share with others.

I will be making special selections of music which inspires and moves me; Radio Sunshine Tapes are audible collages, mixed and recorded by Summer Goodtime (that’s me).

You may have heard many of these tracks before, maybe some you will discover for the first time, and together the combination of familiar, yet new, will create something unique for us to experience together.  These soundtracks should be enjoyed at your desk, in the sun, the club, under the stars or a road trip. Radio Sunshine Tapes are "For You and Friends to Enjoy," compilations to warm our hearts, stimulate our souls and expand our minds. These bodies of work transcend genres, vibes, and time periods, collectively their variety is their unity.

The inspiration for these tapes came from memories of endlessly watching films of the artists, athletes and brands my friends and I most identified with, and the platform which so much music discovery took place for me. These were our gateways into all sorts of underground scenes from around the world. The sounds, the fashions, the art and its stars, writing and riding styles, depending on where that brand or crew was based out of, each had their own dialect and visual language to its content’s aesthetic. 

The images and sounds from likes of Dan Brown, the Bones Brigade, Quiksilver, Veeco Productions, Absinthe Films, Kingpin Productions, Mack Dawg Productions, Fly TV, Lost TV, LoDown Mag, and 9000 Wolves to name just a few of these creative powerhouses who would share the world with generations, inspired experiences and friendships that many of us would not otherwise have dreamed of.

These tapes are my stories, the records are the athletes and artists, and their individual aesthetics showcased in their playgrounds: beaches, mountains and cityscapes, are the songs, and like any proper flick, you’ve got your legends along side your rising stars, and the way they all play off one another creates a unique soundtrack and tells you a story.

In the spirit of the summer season and warmer days ahead, I've put together a gas of a mix, good for peak performance... this is not a warm up.  I selected some records you've likely heard and others may be new to you, but together they'll get us up to get down; steppin' like if we are on the hot, sandy, stoney beaches of Eivissa... peaking.  At a higher BPM than previous tapes, "Hungry Eyes", Radio Sunshine Tape 10, is my seminal mix of the sound that most shaped my explorations into body music and dirty dancing.  Labels like Turbo, Citizen, DeeWee, Phantasy and artists like James Holden, Joe Goddard, Mutado Pintado, Red Axes, Felix Da Housecast, Miss Kittin and Tiga epitomize the sound that fascinated me most; this tape is a good representation of those experiences.  I open with Fatboy Slim's record, "Sunset," Jim Morrison's vocal is the hook and my muse forthwith, the tape takes off from there.  It was a nostalgic project for me to curate these tracks... I hope they take you to a special place too.
